The best phone for the nerd in your life

There are a ton of various mobile phones out there that have different features that many different users may prefer. From the Nokia which is simple and easy to use to the iPhone which has a touch screen and thousands of apps that can be used with it. So how do you pick the best cell phones out there for someone as a gift? What about if that person is a nerd? I would suggest a tech inspired smart phone such as the Blackberry bold or the new iPhone 3GS from Apple. They are very tech oriented phones that are very popular.
