Barry Bonds is the current Homerun record holder in Major League baseball. This has brought baseball card investors into the market and start buying Alex Rodriguez rookie cards. The most expensive Alex Rodriguez card is his 1994 Sp die-cut red holoview rookie card. This card is very hard to find as they were randomly inserted into packs of baseball cards. The rumor is there were only 242 of these rare cards to have ever been produced. A limitied print run as well as great statistics have made this hard to find Alex Rodriguez rookie card one of the holy grails of baseball card collecting. If he can break the Homerun record his cards will be impossible to find at reasonable prices.
