Traditional spiritual educational institutions

In the United States, accreditation is not needed for theology schools to award religious AA, BA, MA, or Ph.D degrees. A theological degree (AA, BA, MA, or Ph.D) is validated in USA. Institutions offering purely spiritual academic degrees are exempt from certifying prerequisites in many areas, subject to specific conventions in each area, Reformed Seminary .Some schools elect to get certification in order to be distinguished to award degrees versus spiritual degrees. There are various major accreditation organizations that specialize in traditional spiritual educational institutions. These are the Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools, the Association for Biblical Higher Education, the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, and the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, and the American Board of Theological Institutions (ABTI).
