Skills Training Gives You an Edge

They were promoting at my job, but one of the requirements in getting one of the promotions was that the applicant get skills training in computer programming. Although the programmers needed a degree in computer science or computer programming, applicants needed special training specific to the new software that the company had recently implemented. Prior to applying for one of the new positions, one of my co-workers decided on her own to seek the training needed to become proficient in the new software. She was happy to learn that she had been promoted and she attributes her promotion to the fact that she attained the training.
