Online Business Directory Advantages

Let me confess up front that, though I am an experienced small business owner, I own a brick and mortar business and am a complete newbie when it comes to Web marketing or online marketing. So this is a brave new world that I am discovering little by little. And what do you know, I am making lots of little but exciting discoveries. One technique that I have been exploring recently is getting your site listed in an Online Business Directory. Why? For one thing, you get a live link from your business listing that is supposed to help your search engine visibility (hah, I am yet to see that!). But more importantly, I have noticed that if the online directory you listing yourself in is relevant to your business, then you get good relevant visitors to directly from the directory (no pun intended). Try it for your own business!
