That Stupid Door

The door to the back of the house has never been right. We have taken it off and trimmed it and have taken off the frame and shimmed it. I know the house is settling. But we really can’t do anything about it at this point. I know that The Many Types Of Insulation on the market could help us solve this problem if they weren’t so expensive. The door has a pretty good gap under it. The back of the house faces north so when the wind blows in the wintertime it really gets drafty in the kitchen. We put one of those long pieces of insulation that is decorated like a cat at the bottom of the door and that helps a little bit but not enough.
