Quaint Home Charms for Years
January 19th, 2010
Home ownership is exciting. I remember the time leading up to my first home purchase. Prior to that, I had been living in apartments crammed with two or three of my friends. The great thing was that we saved lots of money by not having to pay a lot for rent. But the prospect of owning my own home and acquiring some equity lured me from the communal living environment into a two bedroom home on the north side of town. It was quaint and reminded me of a bygone era when half round gutters were normal. The home served my purposes well for nearly five years until I got married. After that my wife and I decided to look for a larger home where we could raise a family.
