Safe Cookware

My friend bought a cookware set that was made in China recently, and she complained it was not good. I do not know how true it is. I personally would not purchase China cookware though. Which cookware is known for its quality and endurance in cooking? I wonder if Australian cookware is popular outside Australia? I should read up best cookware reviews to find out what the best cookware is. I do not want to cause harm to my family by using dodgy pots and pans. I do not want to be using pans that are leaking chemicals! I just feel the need to be on my toes these days, even with seemingly healthy food we consume.
