The vessels and nerves of teeth. The arteries of the maxillary teeth arise from the maxillary artery; the posterior teeth of the upper jaw are vascularized from the posterior superior alveolar arteries, the anterior teeth from the anterior superior alveolar arteries (from the infraorbital artery). All the mandibular teeth receive blood from the inferior alveolar (2) the periosteum of the teeth: rami alveolares, and (3) the adjacent areas of the gum: rami gingivales.
