Do Desserts form a part of Chinese Recipes?
September 6th, 2010
We have heared of popular Chinese soups, stir fries, noodles, etc but never really heared about their desserts. Does the Chinese cuisine have any desserts of their own? Well yes, Chinese Recipes also include desserts, if not many but few, which are authentic but lesser know because of their typical taste and flavor which is not that well appreciated by the world palate. Recipes like steamed cake, nut cookies, Nian Gao, ice cream, steamed pudding are different varities of Chinese desserts found. Their basic styles remain the same, different flavors and colors create variety for the desserts. For example a steamed pudding can be made into 10 different versions by using flavors, colors and garnish. Same holds true for other types of desserts too.
