What is Cherry Packing?

The word “cherry” could be used to refer to the fruit itself or the size of the fruit in the case of cherry tomatoes. These smaller produce are fragile and require special handling to prevent bruising and to cultivate the best taste. In the harvest process the proper cherry packing is necessary to ensure the best outcome. What used to be done by hand is progressively being taken over by machines. The human element is still involved but more on keeping the process running smoothly as to avoid interruption in the cherry packing process. Machine sheets of cherry produce roll on their way to meet the next customer via this process.
