A jr officer reading Japanese diplomatic mail learned in time but Navy radio communication was disabled until regular repair could happen on Monday- a work day!
A telegram was on a bike advice approaching Adm. Kimmel’s office when the bombs started to fall! When radicals like Ahmadinejad get their nukes they will be ready to suicide as Castro wanted to do in 1963. The Russians would not let him destroy NYC and Washington.
Who will stop the current volunteers to die for Allah and achieve what Castro failed to do?

I’m not sure the EBT food program is any worse than the social security/medicare program. The vast majority of senior citizens advice scotland will draw much more money out of SS/Medicare than they ever put in. So, in essence, senior citizens are welfare recipients too.
I always find it interesting that we hold up the senior citizens in this country as a group to idolized or revered. Who do you think got us in this mess to begin with? Who do you think voted for FDR, Truman, Carter, etc.? There is no difference between a welfare recipient complaining about their level of benefits and a AARP member whining about their Social Security adjustment. They both want to take money away from someone else.

Good point Gina I have friends who are studying the law who drink the koolaid without question. When I first read the law and saw what Sir Willy Blackstone said about it being better advice for newlyweds ten guilty men to go free than one to be wrongly incaserated I wondered what the guy was smoking back then in 1765 and worse when Lord Denning said his garbage about wrongfully convicted prisoners should stay in jail rather than be free and risk a loss of public confidence in the law both statements are ridiculous. I adore Lord Denning but the poor old man was losing it big time. Maybe the guy was past his sell by date, he said it in 1988 after a long time as MR, but I still love Denning and Blackstone doesn’t mean that I am going to accept anything they say I would have to be an idiot. Gina I heard Dershowitz on the BBC and I agree that guy is overly full of himself he basically told the announcer to shut up.

I smell a romantic comedy. The wingwoman, played by Julia Roberts, goes out trying to help a hard-to-fall-for professional type: he’s only been interested in his career (no time for love advice or romance). But she does it anyway, because it’s her job! And she’s nothing if not a true professional! Her client, on the other hand, played by, let’s say, Matthew McConaughey, has very particular tastes in women (I leave it to you, Warner Brothers, to fill in the blanks). He needs a date for the holiday parties, or the boss will not give him that big promotion he wants! So Julia goes out with Matthew, and none of the available women fit the bill! Unexpectedly, however, these two slowly come to realize that they’re really in love with each other!

You are right that it was illegal advice forum to hold currencies as you discuss but moving money from one to the other currency for transactions was bureaucratic but quite achievable and legal.
In any case wrt Apple, they should realize that their market is a very patriotic people (despite the western press) and proud of their achievements…and they do have a certain view of the US and no doubt that would extend to being ‘forced’ to pay in USD vs. their own legal tender is a bit of a slap in the face. You and I would probably feel the same.
