Staying in Contact

My best friend and I are going hiking next week and in addition to getting a GPS tracker to take with us in case we get lost we also got an iridium satellite phone rental. Our regular cell phones will not work up in the mountains and we did not think that we should be out of communication range for so long, so when we found out that a satellite phone would keep us in contact no matter where we were it was the perfect plan. If the phone works as well as they say I am going to consider getting one for myself.
