When you’re getting married in Scotland it is conventional to have a band at your marriage reception.

This is vital, as your selection of band will either make or break the marriage reception. In Scotland, there are largely 4 main types of bands you can select for your marriage.

So let us have a look at every type in more detail. These are the standard kinds of Ceilidh Bands Scotland and they play songs recorded and made famous by other artists.

Most cover bands, who specialize in marriages, will play a large range of hits from the 1960′s right up to current chart hits. As marriages comprise of a reasonably good range of folk and ages, the cover band’s plan is to play a good range of music which will keep everybody cheerful. Though many cover bands may include a tiny bit of Ceilidh music or Jazz, they don’t have a tendency to focus on these genres. The typical Pop Cover band will do about 4s hours at a marriage and take a thirty-minute break.
