what is a forklift and how would you become an operator? For the practical exam, this is where trainees actually operate the machine of course with the supervision of a trainer. The last step is evaluation. What trainers do is they watch the student operate the machine and see that the trainee is handling the machine appropriately. The trainer should also check if the trainee is following all necessary safety precautions. After that, the trainer will then evaluate if the trainee is capable of handling the machine. Just a reminder, evaluation should come every three years to ensure all operators the latest guidelines that should be followed.
